BryTech Solutions Director, Tony Attenborough, is co-author of the following patents:
- METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SODIUM CHLORIDE FROM SEAWATER
- MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE PRODUCTION METHOD FROM SEAWATER
- LEAD ELEMENT FLUX CONTROL IN THE PURIFICATION OF WATER BY REVERSE OSMOSIS
The invention concerns a method of producing high purity sodium chloride (NaCl) from seawater by the use of an ion selective nanofiltration process combined with thermal desalination. The sodium chloride can be used in many applications, for example, as a raw material in the chlor-alkali industry, as an ion exchange regenerant, and in the food industry.
The invention concerns a method of producing concentrated magnesium chloride (MgCl2) from seawater by the use of desalination processes combined with selective cation ion exchange process. Magnesium chloride is used as a raw material in the production of magnesium metal, and can be used as a raw material for the production of Magnesia (MgO).
The invention concerns a method of independently controlling the production rate of the lead element of a series of reverse osmosis elements used for the removal of dissolved solids from water. As a consequence of this independent control of lead element flux, it is possible to increase the overall production efficiency of a reverse osmosis system.
